Venezuela e-visa
The Venezuela e-visa is the visa requested online, through Cancillería Digital, that arrives by email as an electronically signed document. There is no stamp or sticker in the passport.
Since April 6, 2026, it has been the only way to request the tourist visa. The system works. Almost every application that gets stuck does so over something that could have been fixed before opening the account.
What is the Venezuela e-visa?
It is the Venezuelan visa issued in digital form. The application is filed online with the Foreign Ministry in Caracas and, if approved, the visa arrives in the applicant's inbox.
It works the same as the old visa. You print it and present it with your passport at immigration on arrival in Venezuela.
The tourist visa (T) and the Business Transient visa (TR-N) both go through this system.
What is the official website for the Venezuela e-visa?
The official portal is Cancillería Digital, run by the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is the only official channel.
If you search for "Venezuela eVisa" you will see other websites. They are private companies that manage the application, like us. None of them issues the visa or can speed up the decision: what they do is prepare the application and file it on that portal in the traveler's name.
Can I apply for a Venezuela visa online?
Yes, from start to finish. You open a user account, register the application, upload the documents and pay the fee on the same portal. There is no interview and no appointment.
The account and the application belong to the holder. For a minor child, the application is registered from the father's or mother's account.
What should I have ready before I start?
An email address that belongs to the traveler. When the account is created, the Foreign Ministry sends an activation link that must be confirmed within 72 hours. If it expires, you register again.
Digital documents: a clear scan of the passport data page and a passport-style photo in JPG, front-facing on a white background. The passport must be valid for at least six months.
Trip details: ticket number, flight date and time, and where you will stay in Venezuela.
A contact in Venezuela who is not a relative, with their name, ID number, phone and email. Registration does not move forward without it.
Where do Venezuela e-visa applications get stuck?
In the files. The portal takes images, and a blurry or dark photo, or one without a white background, does not pass. The same goes for a passport scan with glare or cut-off edges.
In the request letter and the application form, which must be complete and match what was registered in the system.
In changes. A submitted application cannot be edited. If the flight changes or a detail was wrong, it is deleted and registered again, and the waiting time goes back to zero.
In documents the portal requests case by case. Sometimes an apostilled criminal background check appears, which is handled separately in the U.S. and takes days.
How long does the Venezuela e-visa take?
The official manual refers to about 72 hours. Real cases take longer. We estimate 20 business days for the full process.
The tourist visa fee is 60 U.S. dollars, paid on the portal at the end of the application.
Do I need to print the e-visa?
Yes. The approved visa arrives by email. Carry it printed with your passport and present it at immigration.
Before planning another trip on the same visa, check the validity and entries shown on the document. Validity is set by the Foreign Ministry when it issues the visa.
How do we handle it?
Migrative is a private firm with offices in Miami and Caracas. We are not part of the Foreign Ministry or the Venezuelan Government. We prepare the files so they meet the requirements, fill out the form and the letter, file the application on Cancillería Digital in the traveler's name, and follow it from Caracas.
Approval and timing depend on the Foreign Ministry.

Frequently asked questions
What is the official Venezuela e-visa website?
Cancillería Digital, at cancilleriadigital.mppre.gob.ve. Other "eVisa" websites are private companies that manage the application.
Can I apply for a Venezuela visa online?
Yes. Since April 6, 2026, the tourist visa is requested only online, through Cancillería Digital, with no appointment or interview.
Why is my Venezuela visa application not moving?
The most common cause is the photo: blurry, cropped or without a white background. A passport with less than six months of validity or a detail registered wrong also forces a new application.
Do I print the Venezuela e-visa?
Yes. It arrives by email and is presented in print, with your passport, at immigration.
